The Best Way to Stretch Your Abs


Most people forget to stretch their abs when their finished with there ab workout. Or if your like me you didn't have a clue on how to stretch your abs in the first place.

I did some research online and I found this stretch. Its called the cobra pose and  it comes from yoga. This stretch is excellent for stretching your abs after you do sit ups or other ab exercises.

Step 1: The first thing you do is lie face down on the floor or preferably a mat with your hands lying under your chest.

Step 2: Now slowly push your self up and assume the cobra pose just like the picture above.

Step 3: Hold that stretch for 20 seconds or as long as its comfortable. You should feel a little pain in the lower back, but this will go away as your back muscles relax and become less stiff.

P.S. This Stretch is not only good for your adominal muscles. It is also an excellent stretch for people who are suffering from a stiff back or lower back pain.
